Change is always scary but if your dream is to go back to school and pursue a different career then don't let that dream pass you by. Your family will understand and I'm sure that they would give you emotional support in whatever choice you make so don't you worry about moving away in order to go back to school. You have to do what is best for YOU. You have to do what will make you happy, make your feelings and wants and desires the priority. I can understand how you feel about how you had your life all planned around him and now you have to do it all on your own. And how you miss the good things about him and the lifestyle that you had with him but the good things about him could never make up for the bad things he did to you. You can have that lifestyle you desire yourself by going back to school and accomplishing your dream and you know you will feel so much better about yourself knowing that you can do it and you did it on your own. Don't let fear hold you back. Louis E. Boone said, "Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have." and another quote by Dale Carnegie "Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy." You will be so proud of yourself once you take that leap and succeed at it

I saw the Oprah show also and I agree with what Goldie said.
