my husband killed several cats. You are actually lucky about being able to get a job. This will lead to your independence - financial and emotional. Putting your child into a healthy daycare setting is great, a positive experience. My husband made one of our kids miss so much school because of his control, he had to repeat a grade, and go into speech therapy. Actually both kids are in speech therapy. When you have a job, you will think more clearly, interact with normal adults, and realize that your husbands world is just that. You will realize that your husband is self orbiting. Take getting a job as an opportunity, it may be one of your lasts hopes of eventually getting out. YOu will feel more positive about yourself, and will feel like you can accomplish things in life, and actually move forward with your life. YOu may begin to start thinking about bettering yourself and attending college parttime. Hopefully you will be able to put some money aside by working, a little at a time. Also, you can establish a credit card in your own name. Have it mailed to your parents address or whatever so he will not find out. Unclear if you are wanting to leave. I was in a shelter 5 times before I left, with much physical and phychological damage. Please post again. May God Bless you.
