Shelly, I like your apartment. :-) I'm sure it must not look so empty anymore, though, right? Abeka DID change their spelling lists, I have no idea why, but they did. The books are much smaller now, too. I did get the teacher's edition, but no way am I paying for the lesson plans, when I already have the language arts plans from when my ds was 3rd grade. I actually stopped using the spelling plans anyway, so it doesn't even matter. I do my own thing, and make up my own review lesson. They really get ya by putting all those subjects in one spiral bound book, instead of doing them separately! We settled on Apologia's General Science for 7th grade for ds. Thankfully, I did not have to buy a ton of stuff for my dd; I kept a lot, and just had to buy a couple of workbooks. We are going to stick with Mystery of History since the kids really love it, and they are learning a lot.
DS will be done with arithmetic probably on Friday, then I will spend some time reviewing with him, using worksheets, internet resources, etc...on the concepts he had some issues with this year.
Be blessed!
Diana
