Shelly, pray you are able to find a church home soon; that can't be easy, being in transition to a completely different state. How are your kids doing with the move?
I'm sitting here a bit annoyed because I bought my 3rd grade abeka spelling stuff and realized that they have a whole NEW book for the kids and my teacher edition is completely incompatible. Of course, so are my lesson plans now, since they throw the spelling lp's in with the language..Arrrghh...I refuse to pay $40.00 for lesson plans. I'll come up with my own spelling plans, I guess. I'll probably spring for a teacher book, though, at least. They've revamped a lot of their books, and I'm trying to buy the least amount possible from them.
I was wondering how Bob Jones science was. Does your 6th grader do science and history on his own? My son likes interaction with me, he doesn't care to be "completely" on his own. For 7th grade, he will be doing 3 subjects mostly on his own; science, health (SOS Healthquest CD), and arithmetic. Although I think I will start the science off doing it with him and gradually hand it over.
Your apartment sounds nice. I hope you meet some new friends soon, as well as find a church you are happy with.
