Well, let me begin by saying that waking up at 6:45 in the morning to get all five of my children ready to be somewhere by 8:30 was not fun. We actually laid out clothes ahead of time the night before. I thought about having them sleep in their clothes and decided that I would attempt a normal routine before creating a crazy one :>) Anyway, we actually got there 25 minutes early so I guess we can all sleep in a little longer next week. Yeah!! All of the children had a great time. My oldest, 11ds, asked me on the way home, "Mom, were all those kids home schooled like us?" I think it gave him a sense of being part of a larger group that was good. I guess I didn't realize fully how much he must feel like we are abnormal when everywhere we go people ask us why they aren't in school and we have to explain. I was the assistant for 1st-2nd grade sign language and for a basic music class for 3rd-5th grade, then I finished the third hour up with the under 2s in the nursery. There were 4 little babies in there that I was dying to get my hands on but I ended up holding a 2 12 yr old for almost the whole hour because he was crying and wanted his mother. My back is not happy about that one. I felt so bad for the little guy though that I just let him sleep on me once he passed out! LOL! Anyway, it was a great experience and I am so looking forward to the next 9 weeks. There is supposed to be another session in the spring so I may even try to teach something now that I see how easy and fun it can be :>)Shelly, how was your first day of co-op with your son?
