Hi guys! Well, we made it through vacation bible school! It was so much more work than I had expected and it completely consumed me for about 3 months. Since we did not really get to make school a priority toward the end, we are still working on finishing off our math books for this year. I already have their new books for this year but we have not started them yet. I will save them for late August or early Sept. I have not settled on anything for Spelling for my ds going into 4th grade. I think I may try out what you are both using and see how it goes. I am a little curious to hear there is a DVD also! :>) He seems to be a more visual and hands on learner and since I am not the same type learner I don't always have the best approach at things for him. ABEKA did not work at all for him. My ds did the K4 this year even though she turned 6 in March and I am planning on doing K5 and registering her with the county this year which is mandatory in FL. My older ds will be going into 6th grade this year and we are continuing with ABEKA for him. I don't even remember all that I ordered for him at this point. What I really feel I need to do better with this year is creative writing, book reports, and speaking/reading aloud.
