Are you taking time off at Christmastime? How long? Are you cooking or eating elsewhere?
We will be home on Christmas Day, we just stay put, and we cook for my family. On Christmas Eve, we visit dh's family. He bought the tree tonight and we will probably decorate it and the house on Saturday. I'm not putting out as many decorations this year as usual. We just have less room than we did last year, (thanks to another 5-shelf bookcase taking up space in our living room!). Not only that, we have this new kitty that we bought our dd for her birthday in October. "Love", (that's her name) is about 4 months old and we just can't wait to see what she does to the tree!
I've gotten lots of advice, from..."put nail polish remover on cotton balls and place around tree because cats hate the smell", to..."don't hang any breakable ornaments!"
I probably will NOT put any heirloom quality or breakable ornaments or decorations up this year. Minimal is the key word for Christmas 2007.
BTW, where did all these cute smilies come from? Never saw them here before!
