Diana, my son is very good at math so even though we did 4th grade last year, I skipped 5th grade this eyar and went straight to 6th grade. He is doing well with it. I find the explanantions to be extremely accurate and detailed, almost too detailed at times :>)He has more of a problem with ABEKA language arts and I have found similar issues with other moms in my support group switching around 4th or 5th grade. I have been just having him do more writing lately. I give him a starter sentence and then he has to write 2 pages. He them proof reads it, I make corrections, and he has to turn in a final copy. I have skipped most of the sentence diagram stuff. I just don't see why anyone would need to know all of that unless they are going to teach language arts! LOL!!
