Posted by wiseman on 7/24/2005, 12:28 am However, I am now going to tell not only them, but everyone in the world how Wolverine should be treated in comic books. Wolverine is the best there is in the comic book world. Period. He can beat any superhero or villain from any comic book world in a fight. You name it. Wolverine should be treated as an unstoppable, honorable, extremely-skilled samurai warrior. He is meant to be seen as an emergency plan that is to be used by any hero or team of heroes. Before you argue with my statement, please read further for my reasons. 1. Wolverine has an unbreakable adamantium skeleton and claws. This protects his brain from being exposed and protects himself from breaking under any pressure. 2. Wolverine is an excellent combatant. Not only did he learn all forms of martial arts from a demon (Ogun), but there have been many other martial art teachers that taught him. In addition, he learned more fighting skills from Weapon X, the CIA, and the American Army (during World War I and II). Also, Wolverine has lived for over 200 years and he has gained much experience in fighting from his countless battles with anyone who went toe-to-toe with him. Let us also not forget that he has been trained as an assassin in Weapon X and the CIA and he is able to get rid of anyone with ease, speed, and silence. 3. Wolverine has an accelerated healing factor. This healing factor has been improved with every wound that Wolverine has gained in his 200+ year life. It's a scientific fact that the healing factor in all of us improves with every cold or cut we get. By this time now, Wolverine is able to heal through deadly wounds and injuries within a matter of seconds. 4. Wolverine is unstoppable. Not only does Wolverine possess an incredibly advanced healing factor, an unbreakable adamantium skeleton, but he also possesses incredible durability. Think about it. Wolverine has gone through incredible destruction of his body. Every day in his 200+ year life, he has been shot, stabbed, punched, kicked, and much more. By now, Wolverine is virtually immune to pain itself. It's also a scientific fact that our bodies become more immune to pain when we experience it often. Look at all that Wolverine's been through not even counting minor bullet wounds or knife stab wounds. He had his eye pulled out and eaten (Wolverine #165). He had his adamantium skeleton ripped out of him (Wolverine #75). He got shot right in the head from two feet away (Wolverine #150). He even had the X-Men jet crash on him and he lived through a nuclear explosion (Astonishing X-Men #1 and 3). By this time, he is unable to be knocked out or even feel pain from bulletwounds and stabwounds. In addition, his skin is incredibly tough after all these wounds and scars. After all, let's not forget all the many times that he has been burned alive. 5. Wolverine is incredibly fast. His animal-like quick speed makes him very hard to catch, subdue, or even notice him. 6. Wolverine is incredibly strong. People do not notice this but it is still very important. This guy is able to carry ten trees on one shoulder. I'll admit that Wolverine may not have strength that owns up to Superman or Hulk but he is still pretty strong compared to humans and some other heroes. After all, he had to carry around a 100 pound skeleton with him everyday (not counting when he had a regular one). 7. Wolverine has incredible animal senses. His senses allow him to see, sniff out, and hear trouble from a mile away. Like he once said in the storyline arc of "Not Dead Yet", "I can sniff out what kind of deodorant you wore here a year ago." 8. When anyone gets hit by a punch from Wolverine, it feels like being hit by a truck. Why? Let's add in the factors: super-speed, super-strength, adamantium skeleton, and martial art expertise. In conclusion, these must prove to anyone (even Bendis) that Wolverine should not be messed with and he should get the respect he deserves. Wolverine has always been underrated because not one writer bothered to take all these factors into consideration. BUT NOW YOU KNOW AND JUST AS WELL, EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD. If there is anyone out there who wishes to argue (or comment) on any of these points I have shown to you about Wolverine, PLEASE do not hesitate. I like to argue (and I'm open-minded). Thank you for your time.

It is best that I tell everyone this now rather than later. Apparently, some writers (Bendis) think that it is okay to screw around with Wolverine's character in comic books.
