Posted by Dana In Native American/Canadian folklore, there was believed to be an island in Hudson Bay that was populated by Wendigos. A bit more consistancy would be nice, where Marvel's Wendy is concerned, but they HAVE been entertaining stories. Dana --Previous Message--

There IS more than one Wendigo...The creature named Yeti (a member of the lame Liefeld team, Weapon P.R.I.M.E.) is said to be a man afflicted with the Wendigo curse(He's big, apelike and has white fur...yet he's never had a Wendigo's tail), but he has operated in this form during the time that other people have been cursed, been cured and yet more people cursed and cured. Different types of Wendigos have appeared in Marvel comics too...Some are murderous and evil, others seem to be more animal-like(non-evil) and yet some appear to be more like spiritual guardians(Like the one from the Johnny Blaze story a few years back). These may be evidence enough to prove there are more than one Wendigo at the same time.

: : WEll, the point I was making was that once
: Mauvais started chomping on Canadians, it
: should have been passed on to him... That it
: shouldn't have taken eating the heart of the

: i was always under the impresion that it was
: one man cursed who became the wendigo and
: that it was passed on one after the
: other.you know,so there was ever only one
: wendigo,i think this was covered in the
: second series of marvel fanfare
: somewhere.but resently there seems to be
: more than one wedigo,so theres my theory
: straight out the window.
