The problem is marvel does not know the meaning of medien, it's always one extreme or the other. Either wolverine is an unbeatble force or a little panzy that needs saving from Jubilee(yeah that character was well thought out.) I don't want wolverine to be an unstopable force otherwise their is no challenge really or it makes the other teamates look useless. On the other hand he should not be getting his ass kicked by spiderman unless he's drunk, poisoned and blind, or hallusinating. I prefer the fights where he's evenly matched, if he's 1,000,000 times beter then everyone else he's not evenly matched. On the other hand he shouldn't be weaker then every single opponet or obbstecle he faces without their being other factors. I mean alot of the guys who want him dead are weaker then him physically(I mean the ones who lived to see prison and normally have like lackies) but have faced him before and know what he's like. I think that after trial and error one of them would have like sent a memo or something to the other villians(the ones who don't care who kills him as long as sombody does) that before you fight him you should send poisinous darts at him to weaken his healing factor or stage a fight near a volcanoe and have it done in such a way that he's 90% likely to be pushed in. I mean the reason why most of these villians are villian is because they like to "cheat." Dosn't it make sence then that when fighting Wolverine they would do the same. I mean hell even the villians who aren't the sharpest knifes in the drawer are smart enough to hire somone who can plan out a way to "handel" Wolverine. My point is if the writing was better then we would have our medium. Now obviously we want Wolverine to win the fights that will do best in his favor, but I think we also want them to challenging as well. Wolverine fighting a Care Bear and winning is only entertaining so many times before you want him to fight somone who is either a even steven fighter or evens the odds by trickery. Lets just cross are finger for beter writing. A good writer can make the absolute worst thing happend to his favorite character and still make it worth reading to them.
: I'm glad it's not just me. Maybe Marvel
: should do an arc where Wolverine trains with
: various masters to get back to his former
: level of badassness.
