Am researching American military mission "Rescue"
in 1945-May,near end of WW II. Under Gen. Patton
a Lieutenant Quinlivanwas ordered to save horses,
including purebred, Witez II,at a Czech stud farm, from an advancing, hungry Russian Army. It
is Quinlivans'story or after-action report that I
seek....Also,two books on Witez written; "Look of
Eagles," by Wiese and ?? ....Would you know how to contact Pedigree writer, Mrs.Milton V.
Thompson of Chicago...Any help would be appriciated by me and my grand-niece researching
her grandfather. Thank you Judi D.
