You're very welcome. Below is a video of the King and Queen in York Minster yesterday. This happen after the odious incident that some seem to think is amusing. The King also unveiled a statue which beside the West Door of the Minster. I was down in York in August and visited the Minster. I utterly recommend a visit. It's stunning and down in the crypt you can see the history of the place from Roman remains right the way through to the current day. I have connections with the County too as my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins lived near Huddersfield before emigrating to Georgia USA.
Their Majesties appear to be enjoying the visit themselves. I'd certainly try to include the Minster in my own itinerary, which will be varied with trips into the Yorkshire Dales as well as town visits. How interesting that you also have relatives that migrated from Yorks. into the new world. I've joined some regional groups online that are tied to the cultural and historic sides of the county, and hope to learn more about what propelled so many to migrate to the colonies. In my case also, there's a general parallel with that family from Yorkshire (Lascelles - Harewood) that married into the RF in the 20th century but much earlier migrated into that same region - the West Indies - where mine also went.
