I can't recall a precedent, when a British monarch's first name also had a translatable equivalent in Latin. Perhaps not since Henry (Henricus)? In any case, I was wondering if modern-day custom will includee a Latin use of the name "Charles" in such cases as on coins, or in any of the ceremonies (the coronation of coursee, but others in the near future), or documents issued by the royal court or parliament? Of course, it was always "Elizabeth Regina" on a British coin, but will it become "Charles Rex" on coins and elsewhere, or will it be the Latin version, "Carolus Rex"?
