I don't know about that. I'm only on page 200, but I find Shawcross' account of Elizabeth's early years (pre-1923) a far more engaging, interesting read than Hugo Vickers' version. Although only 45 pages or so, Vickers' coverage of 1900 - 1922 seemed dry as humanly possible.
