That's because in the golden heyday of the 1970s,BBC historical dramas always paid close attention to the facts and rarely,if ever strayed from them for the sake of melodrama or mistaken assumptions that factual distortions would somehow make it 'easier' or 'more interesting' for the evidently 'stupid public' to comprehend.In other words,they treated the viewing public with respect and didn't dumb down like so much of the nonsense that passes for historical re-enactment today.Bring back those days!
Edward VII was a great series from that golden era.Well worth viewing again.
