I thought her correct style, as a commoner divorced of a peer, was simply Sarah, Duchess of York...no surname or maiden name used. I'm not even sure she's entitled to a style of "Your Grace" tho I probably am mistaken on all accounts.

: Thanks, i was confused by the bookcovers. I
: expected that Sarah would be so smart to get
: her own name right on them.

: The THE should be left out. Technically too
: she's Sarah,Duchess of York or Sarah
: Ferguson. Not the both mixed together, she
: refers to herself as Sarah Ferguson (going
: by the way she's credited in Young Victoria,
: and also at a recent public speaking
: engagement where her name tag on the table
: infront of her says Sarah Ferguson.) I
: assume her marketing people prefer the
: Duchess of York moniker as there's the cache
: of a tenuous royal link.

: I was always under the impression that since
: the divorce Sarah was Sarah Ferguson,
: duchess of York. She is however listed on
: both bookcovers as Sarah Ferguson, the
: duchess of York.
: So my question is if the addition THE is
: correct or should be left out?
