: So the concept of 'princesses' is not
: unknown in M. Giscard's own life. The book
: will be a fantasy. No way that Diana would
: engage in a relationship with him. If she
: could not stand Charles, then she could for
: sure not stand M. Giscard who loves to start
: in endless monologues on Europe, France,
: history, politics. Not really Diana's cup of
: tea.
Perhaps, but what Diana really appreciated was attention from the men in her life and not all of them were numbskulls.Hasnat Khan, for instance, was a surgeon.Maybe President Giscard was able to combine brains with that famous Gallic charm that English women so often find irresistable.
At any rate, they seem to be getting along quite well in that picture!
