Prime Minister at Balmoral

The Court Circular notes that Prime Minister and Mrs Brown arrived at Balmoral Castle on 5 September, and that they left on 6 September. This seems like a very brief visit to such a remote location. Does the PM usually only stay for one night, or is it sometimes longer?
