: Does Norton Knatchbull as the eldest son of

: Mountbatten of Birma have no courtesy title?
:
: What do you mean? Norton was at one time
: the heir of an heir, but he used
: "Honorable" only since his father
: was a lord and his mother didn't have a
: courtesy title. Even if a woman is the
: heiress to a title, they don't get the same
: treatment as a man (so Patricia Mountbatten
: was never known as Lady Romsey).
I don't mean Norton here, but his son Nicholas Knatchbull.
But you would have given the same answer: the eldest son of a lord doesn't have a courtesy title.
Thanks to all of you!
