Posted by Ebrahim Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani Sidiqque Al-Aleemi Al-Qadri His Eminence, Hazrat Moulana Shah Ahmad Noorani (ra), was one of those exceptional scholars who made it his life’s mission to promote Islam and the teachings of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. His was known worldwide for his integrity, piousness and uncompromising opposition to anything un-Islamic, be it political or ethical. Born in Meerut India in the month of Ramadaan 1926, His Eminence was the son and successor of one of the greatest Islamic scholars of the 20th century, Hazarat Moulana Abul Aleem Sidiqque Al-Qadiri Al-Madani (ra) and also a direct descendant of the first khalifa of islam, Hazarat Abu Baker Sidiquie (ra). Under the guidance of his father, His Eminence became a hafiz-ul-Quran at the tender age of 8. He later graduated from the National Arabic College in Meerut and obtained the Fazil-e-Arabi degree from Allahbad University and the Dars-e-Nizam (Fazil) from Darul-Uloom Arabia, Meerut. His Eminence was fluently versed in 12 different languages In his early youth, His Eminence accompanied his father (ra) on Islamic Missionary tours to various parts of the world. He however only started his full-fledged international missionary tours after the birth of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. POLITICAL ACHIEVEMENTS Accomplishments in his political career include: Making more than 200 amendments and suggestions with a view to diverting the Pakistani constitution of 1972 towards democracy based on the principles of Islam; His constant struggles resulted in the acceptance of Islam as the State religion of Pakistan. He was a fiery orator, yet prided himself on his soft-spoken, humble delivery. His piety and sincerity as well as his love for Allah (swt) and the Holy Prophet (saw) were audibly noticed and this helped captivate the hearts of his audiences wherever he went. Hundreds of highly educated Non-Muslims embraced Islam at his hands. He was vehemently apposed to any beliefs in conflict to the teachings of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah and publicly defeated various Qadianis in open debates using intellectually sound arguments. Muslim organizations were formed with the guidance of His Eminence in every country single country he visited. There are various mosques, orphanages, educational institutes, political movements, community programs and other Islamic organizations that can be credited to this great Maulana’s inspirational visits. His Eminence, without doubt one of the greatest Islamic Scholars of his time, left this world on 11th December, 2003. was attented by over 134,000 people. He will always be remembered as a sincere fighter in the path of Allah. May Allah shower His choicest Blessings on his soul – Ameen!

His Eminence was elected as a Member of Parliament in 1970 and subsequently elected Leader of the Parliamentary Party of the JAMIAT ULAMA - PAKISTAN. He also founded the World Islamic mission at Dar-ul-Arkam in Makka al-Mukarrama in 1972.
He was the first scholar and member of parliament to demand that the constitution of Pakistan included the definition of a Muslim and fought for the Finality of Prophethood to be included in this definition (thus leading to the Pakistani government declaring the Qadiani Movement as a deviant and un-Islamic group);
Worked to unite the various religious parties of Pakistan into a single unified alternative political force;
He was Honorary Secretary General of the World Muslim Ullamas Organization, with the Grand Mufti –E- Azam Palestine being the President. He held that office continuously for eleven years and worked for unity of the Muslim Brotherhood.
MISSIONARY WORK
His Eminence steadfastly preached Islam in every country he visiting among those being South Africa, Guyana, Suriname, Mauritius, Madagascar, Malaysia, Burma, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, UK, USA and Canada.
