Most people who choose to follow the Barelwi Madhab, have not read their leaders books, but still hold on to many of the beliefs INVENTED by raza khan Barelwi. Many Barelwis do not know their origins, but still choose to stay away from Ahl as Sunnah, the majority/mainstream. This article is too important to ignore, please pass it on to as many people as possible to warn them of this break away sect. Please verify the following raza khani beliefs and compare to what the Quran and Hadith say, then make up your own mind whether you are to follow a person like Ahmed raza khan Barelwi:- Quran Ayah: Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.Surah Az-Zumar Ayah 3 Raza khani quote: if you are embarrassed in your affairs, seek help from the inmates of the tombs (Wal Ula, page 46) Quran Ayah: Allah is the Creator of all things and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs Surah Az-Zumar Ayah 62 Raza khani quote: Shaikh Abdul Kader has the power of disposition in the universe. He has been granted permission and he has the authority. He is the conductor of the affairs of the world. (Hadaiq bakshish page 26 raza khan) And when was the momentous occasion when the power was handed down to Hazrat Abdul Kader Jilani? Its nowhere in the Quran or in any Hadith so how does raza khan know this? Has he had a revelation from Allah? FAR FROM IT!!! Quran Ayahs: And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allah such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call (to them)? And when mankind are gathered together (at the Resurrection) they will be hostile to them and reject their worship (altogether)!Surah Al-Ahkaf ayahs 5 and 6 Raza khani quote: Call Ali, the manifestation of wonders. You will find him an aid to your calamities. All calamities and sorrows will be removed by virtue of your guardianship Oh Ali ! Oh Ali ! Quran Ayah: Say: "To Allah belongs exclusively (the right to grant) Intercession: to Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: in the End it is to Him that ye shall be brought back." Surah Az-Zumar Ayah 44. Raza khanis say that their pirs will intercede for them on the day of Qayamah, but how do they know that Allah will choose their pirs? Another few points to consider: Throughout Islamic history, the Quran has been called by its proper name, i.e., Al-Quran, The Glorious Quran, Al-Furqan, Al-Kitab etc, But the raza khanis have named their translation Kanzul Iman, which is not one of the names Allah has given. This translation has been banned in most Muslim countries. It has additions to it, words that are not mentioned in the Quran are added, this gives a different meaning to MANY passages in the Quran. Astagfirullah. If you know Arabic, you will see this as clear as day. At raza khani places of worship, you will notice that there is a certain lack of multi nationals. Whereas if you go to a mainstream Masjid, youll notice that there are people from all over the world, i.e. Africans, Europeans, Orientals, Jamaicans, etc., This should in itself prove that the mainstream Islam is the true Islam. Many raza khani masjids are named Ghamkholvia, Ghausia or even Sunni
. etc. Raza khanis use the name Wahhabi as a term of making fun or pronouncing takfir on people, even though Al-Wahhab is the name of Allah Subhnahu wa ta ala, Astagfirullah. Using Allahs Name in this manner, is this not Kufr in itself? They would rather miss Salah than go to pray in a Masjid where salah is lead by an Imam of Ahl as Sunnah (Mainstream/Majority Islam); the hadith in Mishkat al-Masabih, transmitted by Ahmed, says Follow the great mass (the majority of the Ummah) for he who keeps himself away from it in fact will be thrown in Hell Fire. They falsely attribute things to Prophets and Pious people, elevating their status above what Allah has allowed, for instance, Saints can travel the world in one single bound (even after they have died!) and Prophets and saints are Haazer and Naazer (omnipresent), concepts not known to the Pious predecessors nor to any Sahabah (Radiallahu anhuma). They go against the Sunnah and explain it away by twisting meanings around, but if you are versed in Arabic, you will see through it easily enough. They build over graves and put lights over them, like they have done in many places in India and Pakistan. Many hadiths forbid this. On top of all this, they have Qawali music next to these graves. The following hadith proves their deviancy: "It is not permissible to build mosques around graves because of the statement of the Prophet, peace be upon him, 'May Allah curse the women who visit graves and those who build mosques and place lights over them.''' (Reported by Abu Daw'ud and Nasa'i). Look at the severity of this hadith, Rasool of Allah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) himself has been reported to have said "May Allah curse.." these people. When they go to Hajj they make a separate jamaat because they say that the Imam in Allahs House is a Wahhabi, and in their eyes, Wahhabis are worse than Kafirs
But read the hadith which follows; Verily shaytaan is the wolf of a man just as the wolf is (the enemy) of a flock, he seizes the solitary sheep going astray from the flock or going aside from the flock. So avoid the branching paths; it is essential for you to remain along with the main body (majority) of the community (jamaah) Mishkat al-Masabih Ahmed. In the days of Jahiliya (pre-Islamic days of ignorance), the Mushriks/Pagans of Mecca believed that Allah was responsible for granting their prayers and invocations, then why were these people considered Pagans? They made worship through dead saints, stars, idols etc. Allah Most High says in the Quran; If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth they would be sure to say "Allah." Say: "See ye then? The things that ye invoke besides Allah can they if Allah wills some Penalty for me remove His Penalty? Or if He wills some Grace for me can they keep back His Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust." Surah Az-Zumar Ayah 38. - Raza khanis do EXACTLY as the Mushriks of pre-Islam, what is the difference between them and the Pre-Islamic people? Grave Worship They are called "Grave Worshippers" precisely because grave worship is exactly what they do, the following Tirmidhi hadith illustrates the Mushriks deviancy; The Prophet of Allah, (peace be upon him) said: Had it been permissible that a person may prostrate himself before another, I would have ordered that a wife should prostrate herself before her husband. Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (Radiallahu anhu). But what do these misguided people do? They prostrate at graves of Pious men, this is indeed great Shirk, no matter what the reasoning behind their sajdah. Some graves have purposely built spaces at the feet for prostration. Inshallah, this should be satisfactory evidence to represent the raza khanis (Barelwis) through the teachings of Allah Subhanahu Wa ta a'la and with their own words. If anyone has any doubt in their mind then please read their books and compare with what the Quran and hadith tell you.

It is incumbent upon Muslims to follow the truth. The only truth is from Quran and Hadith. Anyone who follows the Quran and Hadith is to be followed, anyone who contradicts the Quran and Sunnah is not to be followed. May Allah Azzawajal Protect us from Shirk and Biddat, Amin. I ask Allah The Guide to guide me first, and guide all Muslims on the true path, Amin.
Raza khan (along with Qadiyani leader Ghulam Mirza), in his numerous fatwas, Forbade Jihaad against the British colonialists, whilst thousands of Muslims gave their lives fighting for their religion. Just look in the history books and in his fatwas if you dont believe this. To this day, raza khanis do not like to partake in Jihaad.
In light of all this, I ask you, can you pray salaah behind a hindu? if not, then how can you pray behind a raza khani who has as many, if not more, gods?
