You are absolutely right to condemn the endemic sexual perversion in the Catholic Church, but frankly I think thats just a variant on other forms of abuse of innocent and gullible young people by most religions, yours included. After all, its Muslims who seem to think that there's nothing wrong with drugging a few youths up to the eyeballs strapping explosives to them and sending them out with Allah's blessing. I gather that it was an Ayatollah that told Muslims they could commit suicide as long as the intention was to slaughter enemies of Islam. Is an Ayatollah not like an Archbishop or something? This is clearly morally degenerate, but why has this edict by the Ayatollah not been condemned by other Muslims?
I could get started on the Jews but I think the post would get too long.
The point is, when you sell out your moral conscience and replace it by blind adherence to writings in a book or the recorded dictates of some "prophet" or God a couple of thousand years ago, you have essentially accepted moral degeneracy as your guiding light and you are enabling extremism. All religion is wrong. The only trouble is, I don't think any alternatives are much better, so if you want to stay religious, put your conscience and good moral sense first and select those bits of religion that make you grow as a person.
