On this board someone reprinted a story which openly talks about terrorism. All of the incidents listed are well known to the Muslims. The fact that they are widely known does not change one simple fact. They are incidents. They are incidents of crime. They are not policies of Islam!
We can defend ourselves from the accusation of being evil as a whole group as long as we are able to say "this was an unfortunate and evil deed committed by one person or a small cult"
However if such crimes become approved by our leaders and prominent clerics then the STIGMA falls upon every Muslim. We become labelled terrorists!
So that is why openly oppsing wrong fatwas becomes nessesary.
We do not- in the religion of Islam have infallibility- like the Popes!
Our Ullema can make bad fatwas that produce bad results. They can make genuinely evil fatwas that create evil results. The proof of their evil becomes visible, known.
In any debate over terrorism it becomes nessesary to take recourse in law. Law is not murder. Murder is crime. We have these perversions of law because the authority of sharia is not working in most places. People are committing these crimes precisely because there is no Sharia where they are operateing. There is no law of any kind!
Allah sees all of it!
You have to make a clear distinction between what is an incident and what is a policy.
We all know Qaradawi is wrong according to all 4 madhabs. His opinions about illegal acts were proven wrong centuries ago! Contemporary history tells us that real terrorists will pick weak easy targets. Should we be suprised at such cowardice?
If Qaradawi wanted to promote jihad why did he not go to fight himself instead of telling people to commit suicide and murder harmless people?
A wise person who was fully committed to an act of war would not kill an innocent person or himself either. There is no legal preceedent for that in Islamic history.( Two things they do not seem to have in the Arab world after Baath and abdul-Wahab >preceedents of law and history) A real warrior would kill the enemy! Qaradawi's problem is that he does not have any military knowledge. Hand him a bow 20# and see if he can string it!:-0 Otherwise he would be in the battle himself. Like all these rich old men from his generation he spent lots of time in hotels eating well. He is the Arab equivalent of a chicken hawk. That is a man promoteing war who has not served in the military. So all these old chiken hawk men are evil because they make others do what they will not do!
Qaradawi? He is apparently senile and actually evil and I am glad I found out. I am *not glad* so many innocent people are going to die because of him . Because he embraced Shia war tactics >suicide especially. We don't have to accept the opinions of men like him. Hotel buffet Muslims. People who follow him are not following the Qur'an. The Qur'an forbids suicide and it also forbids killing innocent people. The sunnah forbids it! Islam forbids terrorism! Knowing the difference between jihad and crimes of terror is a duty for all Muslims. Underline the word know . Qaradawi has only among his followers illiterate women and TV addicts who never study Islam.Emotionally charged suggestable people with no knowledge of the laws of warfare in Islam . His prestige fell 90% with those 2 fatwas. He's got no standing with me. He's got innocent blood on his hands . Lots of it. He's disgusting.
