1.I highly appreciated the celebration of our Holy Prophet Mohamed SAW on 12 April. The Programme at the Jummah Mosque was highly laudable. But I was a bit confused at the way things turned out at the arrival of Maulana Anas Noorani Siddiqui. I am not of the type to criticise but I just want to understand. Why was the naat being read stopped so as to acclaim the arrival of the Maulana Anas, who by the way I find highly sympathetic, always wearing a smile on his face. And his waez, I highly appreciate his waez. "The Prophet is closer to the believer than his own self (the believer's self". This is an ayat in the Quran which I discovered by myself, which means a lot to me and therefore I felt shivers when the Maulana talked on this ayat.
"Noorani aya, Noorani aya" was being sung. I can understand the love people have for Maulana Noorani Siddiqui (the father) and also for the son. I just want to understand why, why should a naat be stopped so as to welcome an eminent Maulana.
Why should one Maulana be placed higher than another? On what do people base themselves to rank Maulanas.
This has given rise to a lot of questions on my mind and I would be grateful if someone could answer me, to clarify things.
2.Once, there was a Maulana who came from Ajmer, I was shocked to see that people bowed to him, touched his feet. I know that we bow only to ALLAH, this also I just cannot understand. I think it should be the Maulanas themselves who should ask their disciples to refrain from doing such things. To love, to respect, to pay "adab" is one thing and to transgress is another.
Grateful for an answer.
