howdy, and welcome to the board. sorry for the late reply.
also sorry that i can't really help you w/ questions about the lot prices. sometimes people pay premiums for lots that they don't have, so that might have driven the prices up. hard to say.
hope you're enjoying the reads, though!

: Greetings Crom-wellians,
:
: I've been buying up Savage Swords from a
: Hyrkanian at the flea market.
: He's usually hard-assed about pricing for
: all his goods.
: However, he's been selling Savage Sword back
: issues for $2 bucks a pop,
: which is sometimes a quarter .25 less than
: when they were originally distributed.
:
: So I've swooped up all the earliest issues
: there, which were a few pre-100's, but
: mostly 100-199's.
:
: Haven't bought any 200 and up yet, but was
: surprised that in a recent eBay auction :
:
: Savage Sword of Conan Lot 1 (60 issues: #40
: to #100) went for $75 dollars
:
: Savage Sword of Conan Lot 2 (50 issues: #101
: to #150) went for $142 dollars
:
: Savage Sword of Conan Lot 3 (42 issues: #151
: to #200) for $122 dollars
:
: Savage Sword of Conan Lot 4 (35 issues: #201
: to #235) for $132 dollars
:
: My question regarding those, is,
: why did the later issue lots price above the
: early issue lot
: (which even had the higher quantity of
: issues, 60) ??
: and in particular, why did the 201-235 lot
: (which only contained 35 issues)
: price higher than two other earlier lots ??
:
:
: At any rate, spurred by this, I will now
: definitely hit up the Hyrkanian vendor to
: swoop
: up the 200+ issues.
:
: There is also a cache of CONAN SAGAs.
:
: Does the SAGA mostly reprint SAVAGE SWORD
: content ?
: and/or is there exclusive content in the
: SAGAs ?
:
: Thank you for you wisdom and knowledge !
