Well as far as the comics are concerned Marvel gradually gave up their licences to produce Howard based comics which were picked up by other companies , Dark Horse Comics , Cross Plains Comics and now Dynamite Entertainment [ Red Sonja ] . Even though Marvel published Conan the stories were still owned by Conan Properties , at one time part of the Howard Estate , hence Dark Horse being able to re-print the Marvel stories.
