Posted by sheridan if you were going to get a rare comic, i think you could go the ebay route. but if you wanted a mini bust or something, but wanted to see it first, chances are you could get it in manhattan pretty easily, w/o worrying what you bought online wasn't exactly what you thought it was. sheridan --Previous Message--

there are two major comic stores that carry lots of comic/comic figures/etc. in manhattan. one is forbidden planet off of union square. the other is midtown comics (in mid town). there's another one in the village, off of macdougal i believe. it's a smaller store, but they ahve a lot of figurines.
: Hey everyone... my boyfriend is a huge comic
: book freak and Christmas is coming up, so
: i've decided to get him a rare comic book
: item. He loves conan, but also loves x-men
: (those are the only two I remember him
: talking about). I know there are a lot of
: things out there on Ebay, but I don't know
: what to pick. Last year I got him something
: he didn't really like too much; I don't even
: remember what it was called. But this year
: I'm going to be smarter about it. So I'm
: here asking for advice.
:
: I'm not looking for somethign too rare, I
: want to be able to buy it off Ebay and I
: want to be able to get it without spending a
: fortune. If you could maybe provide me with
: a list, I can add those items to my watch
: list through my free nabit software program
: so I can see them update automatically. I
: just want to get him something soon because
: I'm leaving for New York on the 18th and
: would like to have his gift in before then.
: If you can help me at all that would be
: great. THANK YOU!
