I ususally switch mine over to adult food around one year of age. These dogges do mature for a long time, so puppy food for another six month might not be a bad thing. When I switch them to adult food it is always to a high grade of feed such as a Performance Formula. Then somewhere around three to four years of age depending on their metabolism some may not slow down until five or six years of age, I switch them to an Adult Formula or Senior Formula.

: I am curious as to what age you breeders would
: recommend switching a pup from puppy chow to
: adult dog food. I've been told to start
: around 18 months but I'm curious what those
: of you on this site do. Were going to the
: Vet next week for her annual checkup and
: I'll ask there too, I'm just trying to
: determine if I should wait another 6 months
: before I start. Isabel is 1 year old now
: and is still eating Solid Gold Wolf Cub
: food.
