My Grandfather, 1stLt. Bill E. Booth USMCR, flew with VMB 443 from '43-45', and I've been digging around the internet lately for stuff related to his WWII experience specically, and to the experience of PBJ Marine flyers in general. This is one of the better websites I've come across, and as far as I know, the only active website concering squadrons that operated with the 61st Marine Air Group. I heared from my grandfather, before he passed in 1997, that the squadrons in 61st ocassionally flew together, although he specifically referenced VMB 433. I was hoping that somebody could give me some background into your experiences. He was a hero in our family, and I am curently a pilot in training at Western Michigan University, trying to humbly follow in his footsteps.
Thank You all for you sacrifices,
