Don't give up hope that your Great-Uncle will be found. I read that article also and it did encourage me that many of our lost WWII MIA's may be recovered. After I read that article I Googled this organization - World War II Families For return of the Missing

Perhaps you can contact them for assistance in locating your Great-Uncle. Let us know if there is anything we can do. All of us want those men who went missing brought home.
