My father, Douglas E. Nash served in the USMC from 1936 to 1939 later joining the USCG from 1939 to 1945, serving on ships; USS THETIS CVE 90, USS Huron PF-19 and the USS Ingham.(Gunners Mate) I believe, he served on another ship as well, during World War II. He was first stationed at the coast guard station at Curtis Bay, Maryland. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. After the Coast Guard, he worked as a correctional officer for a few years and then re-enlisted, this time US Army, spent 25 years in the army before retiring. I have been trying to locate past shipmates, buddies of my father and or family members of past shipmates etc.... I have found two relatives thus far and hoping to find more relatives. I'm trying to put a time line together, photo's, history etc... for my own children. Anyone out there know of any information pertaining to my father, the ships I've listed, anything, I'd so appreciate hearing from you. Thank you!
