My name is Al Hatzmann. I was a Turret Gunner and flew with your Dad (we used to call him DeeDee). The last time I saw him was at a VMB423 Reunion in Philadelphia. Our Pilot Ray Martin lives in Naples, Fla. but I have not seen him lately as he has not attended the past few reunions. Your Dad,Ray and I are the only ones left of the original crew.
I hope that he is well but sorry to hear that he cannot make the reunion in Charleston.
