Although I can't help you with the crash information you requested on 5/24, some of the information you have seems peculiar. I was in the Northern Solomns at about that time. I was a navigator bombardier in VMB 413 and I never saw a marine nav/bomb who was commissioned. You also have a seven person crew. We flew with five.
