I am researching a Richard S. Thomas that was born in 1837 in Isle of Wight, VA - He married in 1882 and lived in Smithfield the remainder of his life - His father's name is Samuel and his mother's name is Frances -
Perhaps there is a connnection? The brothers had prominent lives at this generation level.
