Jeremaih BROWN, b. abt. 1712 Fairfax Co., VA, m. unknown Elizabeth Mary BATTE or BATTEN, b. abt. 1712 Darlington, SC. Jeremiah is found in the Isle of Wight Co., Virginia, Probate Records for 1 Mar 1731. Jeremiah was a constable and planter on the Black River, Sumpter, SC. His son, William, b. abt. 1735, was the father of Nancy, b. abt. 1756 SC and Mary Margaret, b. 1756 Williamsburg, Kingstree Dist., SC, d. 1842 Darlington, SC.
