Thank you for your response. You have just answered a question that has been plaguing us for 5 yrs. Is our Robert Lee Bowden the same one that appears in the census in Isle of Wight in 1870. Your response here tells us they are not the same person. Our Robert Lee Bowden married Florence Hunter Mar 1887 in Cincinnati, Ohio and had two daughters, Edna & Florence. He died in 1906.
It doesn't sound like we have the same person, but your information finally puts to rest our questions. I have researched Elias Bowden and Sarah Coggins thinking they might be his parents.
I cannot thank you enough for helping us out.
