I am researching Underwood's in very early Isle of Wight. Names of interest are Thomas and Rosemond Underwood, Beadles Underwood, and surnames of Beadles.
My main interest is in a Mark, Absalom, and Lewis Underwood in Surry then Sussex Counties, but there is reason to beleive they may be connected to a Thomas and Rosemond Underwood. Rosemond Underwood father was a John Johnson. Lewis also married an Elizabeth Harwood, 1957, had a child Hamlet, 1958, then she died 1959. Lewis married again to a Gilly ??, possible last name Whitehorn.
Thomas Underwood/Rosemond is also a probable son of Thomas Underwood and Dianah family of Isle of Wight.
