Col. John Dodman who was a resident of Mulberry Island, gave land to his daughter, Margaret, who married William Appleyard 28 January 1679 - Isle of Wight County Records. How do I find out more about William Appleyard (a) where he came from in England (2) when he was born (3) how did he arrive (what ship did he sail on and when and where did it arrive in America).
