Posted by Donald Harrell Dr. Harrell received his license to practice medicine in Richomd in the mid 1850's. Our family thought he had resettled in our family home in present day Whaleyville. However, in war time letters from 1863 & 64 he refers to his parents and wife as being in Isle of Wight. We do believe he moved to South Boston VA shortly after the war. Any information would be appreciated. THANKS!

I am looking for any information on the life, location and practice of Dr. Richard A Harrell and his wife Emmie Hines Harrell. (Emma's brother may have been William Hines - a Captian who served(?) on the CSS Virgina!
