I rec'd your response to my inquiry about the Bowden's of Isle of Wight. I'm very interested in the information you talked about. The Elias Bowden I believe may be related to my G Grandfather was born in 1810 in VA and married a Sarah Coggins born 1825 in VA. They had sons named Robert, Pat, James, Charles and William and a daughter named Frances. I cannot be certain that their son Robert L. Bowden is my G grandfather. I have no death cert for him although I have a death date of 1906 and his daughter, my Grandmother says he was born in 1863. Does any of this information jive with records you may have on this Bowden family? Your assistance and information is tremendously appreciated.
