I just posted an inquiry for my Great Grandfather Robert Lee Bowden, on the Isle of Wright site. I need to know who his parents were and trace them all back. I'm hoping I have a clue in 1870 census listing an Elias Bowden and family with a son the right name and age. I don't know if any of them are related to your Bowden's, but I just came across your entry. Have you come across any Robert Lee Bowden's, born 1863-1866 in VA - married Florence Hunter in 1887 and died 1906 - don't know where? If you have I'd certainly be interested.
