I am researching a Martha Baisden that was born July 12, 1732 at The Isle of Wight VA. Her parents are James Basden Born between 1690 and 1700, possibly in Bermuda, Warwick Parrish and died in July 20 1770 in Southampton Co. VA.,James married Elizabeth Lightbourne, abt 1709. She is the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Lightbourne, she was born Dec 4 1689 in Southampton, Parish, Bermuda she died in 1740 in Isle of Wight, VA. Any info on any of the children from this union would be so appreciated, especially Martha and her children.I have heard there arechurch records indicating she was the mother of a least one black child named Lewis Basden. The name Basden has been transcribed as Barden also. We are trying to determine if she had a son named John, (white) who was born around 1760. Thank you so much!! Doug
