Have you been able to collect any Scottish ancestry info on this guy yet? I have an aunt who has done extensive research on various branches of our family, but ran into a deadend when she got to this guy. You and I are related, since we both trace back to this same guy, Thomas Hume the Presbyterian. My lineage is from him to his son Thomas Hume, Sr (referred to in our records as "The Baptist") to his son John Hodges Hume to his son Julien Robert Hume to my father Julien Robert Hume, Jr. I live in Virginia Beach.
