I am trying to locate documentation that James Copeland, with wife Elizabeth, of Chatham County, North Carolina, is the son of Nicholas Copeland and Nancy Ann Lott. If this is the case, then the Copeland family lived at one time in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. I would appreciate any advice regarding the Copeland family lineage.
