According to my info the original Robert Eley in Isle of Wight Va was born 1639 died about 1680 and was married to Jane Braswell. This line is proven by Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. His son was Robert Eley 1679 -1739, whose will mentions son Robert, Edward, William, Daughters, Christian, Mourning, Son Michael, Daughter Martha Williams, Son Eley, Wife Martha Daughtie,(Father James). His son Robert 1709-1750 is proven by will. Son Gale, Robert, Wife Alice, Daughter Amey (who I am trying to prove married Nathan Johnson) and so forth. Hope this helps. Skip
