I may not have the right answer yet but I can share with you what I think I know to be correct. As i'm sure you have already seen, there is a lot of missing information regarding the father and mother of John Bowden, who was born in 1717, but where is unknown. I also follwed the more obvious path and made the connection with the John Bowden in Northhampton County. After much research, I arrived at the conclusion that if John Bowden of Isle of Wight was born in 1717 then John Bowden of Northhampton could not be his father since he was born in 1710. After going down that road, I started looking for elsewhere and I found out that there were a lot of Bowden's in the King and Queen and Middlesex Counties. More specifically, there was a John Bowden listed in the 1704 Tax Records in King and Queen County. I have some other information if you or anyone else would like to discuss it. In fact I would enjoy exchanging information with other people.
