Posted by Teresa The Library of Virginia has an Isle of Wight County, VA Chancery case, dated 1826 (#1826-007), for "Eley CARR & wife, etc., vs Solomon BUTLER, Exr of William WATKINS." I am seeking more information on this CARR & WATKINS couple. Is Honour WATKINS the daughter of William WATKINS? Could this be the same Eley/Ely CARR shown on the 1820 and 1830 census for Nansemond County, VA? I'm attempting to prove this is the same CARR family that left Nansemond County, VA for OH between 1833-1840 and found on the 1840 census for Clermont County, OH, as "Eli CARR." Descendants of this family removed to Indiana and Illinois after 1850.
