my research indicates hartwell left cherokee county and had a son named hartwell in dekalb county, alabama. my great-grand father hartwell w. vaughn is buried in midway cementary, adamsville, al. i would enjoy hearing from you to see if we are talking about the same person. i have just started doing research and would appreciate knowing what you have learned. i do't have dates with me now but can email them along with sources if you have not discovered them. hartwell is an unusual name so i believe we are talking about the same person. i have found the name mispelled.
