Posted by Carolyn Anderson Prior to Ingram Blank's death he was the Guardian of John and James House, orphans of Lawrence House. I believe that Susanna Blanks, the dau. of Ingram and Elizabeth, married John Barnes of the 1783 Greensville VA Census. Then when Susanna Barnes died in October 1820 Greensville, James Blanks was the administrator of her estate. If anyone has confirmation of Susanna having married John Barnes, please let me hear from you. John and Susanna Barnes were my third ggrandparents. The House, Jeter, Stuart and Mason families moved from Greensville and Sussex Counties to Haywood Co. TN following the 1840 Census and are noted as having founded Eureakton TN. in Haywood Co. I'm hoping someone on the list has Penny Hurst in their lines. I've some information to share. Penny Hurst married Elizabeth Blanks the widow of Ingram Blanks who died 1762 Brunswick Co. Penny Hurst was designated Guardian of Ingram and Elizabeth's daughters Susanna and Martha Blanks. Ingram Blanks willed the lands called Hurst Place to his widow Elizabeth. Henry Mason and first wife Rebecca Jeter and also the Abernathys later resided on these lands of Hurst Place.
